While preparing for a winter holiday in the north of Sweden I realised i only had a boring black ‘off the peg’ hat that was warm enough for the weather. I also realised I had no neck-warmer, only scarfs which isn’t the safest thing to use if you’re zooming along on a snow scooter (Ski-Doo) or skiing at breakneck speeds!

So, I set about to make a nice looking hat/neck-warmer set which would be safe on a scooter/on the slope and look stylish enough to wear Après Ski as well.
The one thing I knew I wanted to incorporate in the design was cables; not only do I love cables but they also add thickness and warmth.
I rated this pattern as INTERMEDIATE as it contains cables, short rows and 3 ndl bind off.
The pattern is both chartered and written.
The hat and neck-warmer will comfortably fit most women, however, the pattern is easy to amend by working either more or less pattern repeats.

Simply named after the ‘diamond’ shaped lace pattern.
I rated this pattern as INTERMEDIATE but don’t let that scare you.
I think it is suitable for an advanced beginner who can knit, purl, increase, decrease and read simple charts.
It is great for a first lace project or for a first time reading charts!
Please note that this is a chartered pattern only.
Size:
Un-stretched the brim circumference is 15in / 38cm, the ribbed band is very stretchy and will comfortably fit most women.
Instructions are given for 2 hat styles: regular/moderately slouchy and slouchy (as shown in picture). Make the scarf in your choice of width and length!

Named after my home town of Stockholm, Sweden.
Sized for bust circumference:
XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL)
31 (34, 37, 40, 43, 46, 49, 52) in
79 (86.5, 94, 101.5, 109, 117, 124.5, 132) cm
Intermediate skill level:
The body is worked in the round to the underarm, set-in sleeve construction (worked in the round from the top), cable stitches, optional short rows.
A high ‘ripple patterned’ waistline flatters a variety of body shapes and creates an hourglass figure. It is also an excellent pattern if you are either ‘top heavy’ or pear shaped as it is very easy to accommodate for the changes required.

A comfortable cotton skirt which can be worn with heels for a more sophisticated city feel but works just as well with boots for a more funky look!
The sizes range from 6 to 20 (UK).
Gauge: 26 st / 37 rows + 4" / 10 cm
Knitted from top down on circular needles with an elasticated waistband. I have rated this skirt as 'Easy'.

The flared bottom is knitted on larger needles and gives the skirt a lovely swinging movement when you walk. My husband commented on how pretty it looked and that I should post a small video of me walking in it!!
