Sorry I couldn't help you out with your toe. I'm sure you'll be able to find something on the web - if you haven't already! If your are not already a member of Ravelry I can recommend joining as there is a wealth of knitting related information there.

Thank you very much for your tutorial on the rounded toe. I am just about to start my third pair of socks and wanted to try toe up, so will use your method.
