Welcome to my homepage!
This website was born out of my love of knitting and desire of a place where I can share that love with like minded people.
I started designing my own patterns when I realised I always made changes to the patterns I bought and knitted for myself. Through Ravelry I also noticed a lot of people do the same as many patterns out there are not written for the shapely woman; as soon as you have some curves (read: as soon as your are over a UK size 12) designers shy away... it's often boxy and unflattering... if it even comes in a 'real' womans size.
My aim is to create patterns that have as little seaming as possible (I always find myself changing patterns I buy to be knit in the round... I really dislike the sewing bit) with wear-ability and comfort in mind. I love the female shape and try not to hide it under boxy or bulky designs but wherever possible I try to enhance or create an hourglass shape - I find it tends to flatter most of us ;-)
Plus, if you saw my hubby's reaction when he sees me in a top that fits my curves . . . . well you'd knit them that way too!!
